Firstly, congratulations on your wedding day! Secondly, let’s be clear that once you receive the link to your photo gallery, the fun doesn't have to stop there. Your wedding photos are meant to be treasured and shared with loved ones. It's a great idea to create something tangible that you can hold and cherish for years to come.
There are lots of options available to you, such as getting your photos printed, ordering albums, or even custom print boxes and USB sticks. If you're interested in purchasing these items from myself, I do offer them, but feel free to explore other options that suit your needs and budget.
Don't let your beautiful photos get stuck in cyberspace forever! The best time to take action is right after the wedding, or within a few months while the excitement is still fresh. So, go ahead and start creating something special that will allow you to relive those cherished moments again and again.
BACK UP, BACK UP, BACK UP!
I cannot stress this enough. It's so important to keep your wedding photos safe and secure, even after the editing and delivery process is complete! While I make every effort to keep your photos in storage, eventually I may need to delete them to free up space and keep my systems running smoothly.
To ensure that you always have access to your precious memories, make sure to back up your photos in the highest resolution possible from your online gallery. Don't settle for just web-sized images, as these are only suitable for social media and online use. When you first open your wedding gallery, there is a walk-through to show how to download everything, but if you have any issues with downloading your photos, don't hesitate to reach out - I'm always more than happy to help.
Remember, the more backups you have of your photos, the better protected they are against loss or damage. I recommend saving your photos to at least two external hard drives or USB drives, as well as an online cloud storage service like Dropbox or Google Drive. Consider keeping one of your backups at a separate location, such as a family member's home, to minimise the risk of loss in case of theft or disaster.
By taking these simple steps, you can have peace of mind knowing that your treasured wedding photos are safe and secure for years to come.
SHARE THEM WITH YOUR GUESTS AND SUPPLIERS
Sharing your wedding photos with family, friends and wedding day suppliers is a great way to spread the joy and showcase the hard work of your vendors. Make sure to send the link to your online gallery to your friends and family members who were there for you on your big day - they will love reliving the special moments captured in the photos.
It's also important to share the photos with your wedding day suppliers, such as pictures of your flowers to your florist or the venue decor to your decorator. This can help them showcase their work and attract new clients. However, make sure that they credit the photographer and do not pass off the photos as their own - this should be included in your contract terms.
If you prefer to keep some photos private and only share certain ones, you can create folders within your gallery to control access. This allows you to easily share specific photos with certain people without giving them access to your entire gallery.
PRINT, FRAME AND ENJOY!
It's always nice to see your wedding photos in print and away from a phone or computer screen. Once you've received your photos from your photographer, it's time to put them to good use!
Consider displaying your favourite wedding day moments in your home or office, and share printed copies with your friends and family. Those precious photos of you and your loved ones, are perfect for printing and framing as a heartfelt gift.
If you have other keepsakes from your wedding day, why not create a special keepsake box to store your printed photos alongside them? This can be a wonderful way to keep all of your cherished memories in one place.
So don't let your wedding photos sit in digital limbo - print them out, enjoy them, and share them with those you love!
THANK EACH GUEST WITH A PERSONALISED CARD
Show your appreciation to your wedding guests by sending them personalised thank you cards! Choose your favourite wedding photo (or a few) and have them printed onto thank you cards to send to your guests.
This thoughtful gesture not only expresses your gratitude for their attendance to your special day but also gives them a beautiful memento of the occasion to cherish. Plus, it's a great way to use your stunning wedding photos in a meaningful way.
ORDER YOUR WEDDING ALBUM (FROM ME!)
Invest in a beautiful wedding album to preserve your memories for a lifetime! While I offer this service, you can also explore other companies that specialise in printing albums if you prefer.
Having a physical album to hold and flip through is one of the best ways to relive your special day. It's also a great gift idea for parents or grandparents who would treasure a tangible keepsake of your wedding.
So don't hesitate to order a wedding album and enjoy the timeless beauty of your favourite memories for years to come.
USE THEM TO CREATE UNIQUE GIFTS
Your wedding photos can be the inspiration for some truly unique and personalised gifts! Consider creating a custom coffee mug, jigsaw puzzle, or a personalised calendar featuring the family photos from your big day.
There are endless possibilities for using your wedding photos to create one-of-a-kind gifts that your loved ones will treasure. If you're looking for something truly special, one of the most fantastic things I’ve seen done lately are custom digital illustrations - that turn your photos into stunning works of art.
SHARE YOUR PHOTOS ON SOCIAL MEDIA
Sharing your wedding photos on social media is a great way to spread joy and inspire other engaged couples. In your gallery, you can easily download web-resolution photos specifically for this purpose.
As a small business, word of mouth is incredibly valuable to me, so I encourage you to share your photos on social media and tag me in the image or caption. You can find me on Instagram at @princetakespictures.
When sharing your photos, please refrain from cropping or altering them in any way. This ensures that the photos are presented in their true, beautiful form and showcases my photography in the best possible light.
MAKE A SPECIAL THING OUT OF IT
Take the time to truly savour and appreciate the special moments captured in each of your wedding photos. Set the scene for a cosy and relaxing viewing experience by preparing your favourite meal or ordering takeaway, and creating a warm and inviting atmosphere to enjoy the memories.
Whether it's the first time you're viewing all of the photos, or you're celebrating your one-year anniversary, or even sharing the joy with your kids, make sure to set aside a special time to really relish in the beauty of your wedding photos.
